Idea Flight is a presentation productivity application that allows users to experience presentations on connected iPads.
The idea behind Idea Flight is simple. The presenter is represented as the “Pilot.” Each viewing member of the presentation is the “Passenger.” In the default state, the Pilot controls the flow of the presentation through their iPad, which is then streamed to each of the connected iPads. When the Pilot switches pages, each connected Passenger iPad will also move to the next page.
Idea Flight can connect up to four iPads through Bluetooth and sixteen through WiFi, allowing for small and large presentations. The intelligent design of Idea Flight is that no one is straining to see a large screen and all the information is presented right in front.
When a Pilot is giving their presentation, the PDF file is locked for all the Passengers, but the Pilot can unlock the presentation allowing for free viewing. It is an easy to use interface for both the Pilot and Passenger. Both the Pilot and Passenger are able to make notes in the presentation as well.
Idea Flight supports PDF files and many programs can export to the format. After the Pilot has selected the presentation, the other iPads will download the file and the Pilot can begin. Idea Flight is a free download, but the Enterprise (Pilot function) Idea Flight is a paid application.
Idea Flight contains a simple interface and streamlined experience for both Pilots and Passengers. The ease of use along with the number of possible connected users is impressive.
